Short description


Our getTemp is a fibre optic coupled thermometer for temperature measurement in high electromagnetic interfered environment, in micro-wave fields and places where measurement with electric temperature probes is not possible. getTemp is an user-friendly, easy to handle and compact measurement device for several fields of application. It is available as 1, 4, 8 or multichannel version. getTemp can be adapted to your special requirements (interfaces, probe length, accuracy, temperature range)!


getTemp garantuees comfortable and save temperature measurements showing total system accuracies of ± 2°C even under hard measurment conditions. Limiting the temperature range produces system accuracies of up to +/- 0,1°C.

Application examples


Medical technology:
Fibre-optic coupled temperature devices allow measurements in magnetic resonance tomographs (MRT). Magnetic field strengths of about 1 Tesla and metallic sensor tips would disturb the image in these environs. For special therapies in the cancer research as well as for invasive temperature measurements in the human tissue we developed probe tips with a maximal diameter of 0.5 mm. Healthy tissue must not heated above 40°C by the influence of electromagnetic fields. On the other hand, carcinogenic tissue is denaturated if heated above 40°C. Another field of application is the laser therapy.


Power engineering:
Most of power plants are operating at full capacity. In order to assure the general plant safety, fibre-optic temperature sensors are used at critical places in generators and transformers. In the generators exists beside the electromagnetic field another risk. Because of the presence of hydrogen (for cooling effects) there is a higher explosion hazard. Fibre optic temperature measurement systems like the getTemp can fulfil the requirements of the operators regarding a reliable control.


Microwave Chemistry:
Chemical digestion under pressure and temperature to determine traces and ultra-traces in the following analysis process is made in by microwaves heated set-ups. Our getTemp is a useful device to control this process efficient and reliable.





OEM version of our getTemp (without display)


Short description


getTemp OEM is the one-channel version without display and best suited for the integration in micro-waves interfered environs or in drying ovens. getTemp-OEM has a very fast scan- time of 200 ms and due to its analogue output via 0-10V and the RS-232 interface useable in process applications.
It is well suited for being integrated into already existing modules due to its compact configuration.
