Unlike to traditional spectrometers the getSpec NIR 0121 MEMS does not use a detector array but single detectors. This is realized by micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS). The spectrometer principle is based on dispersive array spectrometers. A micro mirror serves as main component allowing to periodically direct spectral parts dispersed by diffraction gratings to the single detectors.
The preprocessing of spectral data is realized by integrated logic components transmitted to PC via USB or RS 485 interface. Those data is displayed and treated by application software. Specific requirements (OEM) can be respected by firmware adaption.

Software
The operating software controls the spectrometer module and visualizes detected spectra. Besides displaying spectra over certain wavelengths or displaying wave numbers, simple spectral operations such as offset drift correction or referencing spectra are possible.
Those measured spectra can be saved on demand separately or in a common matrix as ASCII files (other exports and/or connections to other systems possible on request). The software is parameterized by a module specific INI file.
